A little tip for you being a slacker today
The scenario
Ever feeling too tired, don’t want to cook or eat but want to have a meal of something, something from your own kitchen? Hey, wait a minute; I know that angel and evil are fighting in your mind, who is going to cook with an exhausted body.
It was just a day for me under 33 degree Celsius / 91.4 Fahrenheit and a humidity of over 85%. I am sure anyone would sweat like a pig even not moves at all. I am a multi-appetite person who likes to eat healthy and sometimes evil (fast food).
However, I don’t like to eat the same KFC, McDonald’s, Hungry Jacks, Taco Bell , and Wendy’s over and over again. Especially, I just had it the day before. I was demanding a quick meal from the kitchen in less than 10 minutes to prepare.
Chemical reactions
What you can think of to spicy up a tongue for the appetite instantly? Sour? Chili? Right! Here I suggest a different approach that works for me when I need a speedy and quickie meal. The dish’s favor is slightly sweet. You heard me, sweet and it is out of a tin — Luncheon Meat.
“It excites my tongue every time I lost my appetite — Ben Kwong"

Ingredients:
Rice
Luncheon meat (any brand)
Egg(s)
Light soy sauce
Dark soy sauce
Sugar
Oil
Preparations:
1. Put water and rice into a rice-cooker
2. Slice the luncheon meat
Cook:
1. Pan fried luncheon meat with medium heat to get a brownish skin. Put aside on a plate for later use
2. Eggs has to be done in a poached style to give it a crispy edge looking. The best is about the middle can give you the egg yolk sauce as it is not fully cooked. It may not as easy as you think. A sunny side up is one side sealed but a poached one is both sides! Don’t cook too long, it will make the yellow goes solid
3. Sauce, practically just mix light and dark soy sauce with water and sugar in a pre-heated wok or sauce pan with oil
4. Put your steamed or boiled rice on the plate, then comes with luncheon meat and poached egg. Last the sweet soy sauce with the flavor of oil. You can garnish with a shallot or coriander.

Simple enough and better than just the same fast food. It excites my tongue every time I lost my appetite. Let’s give it a try. Enjoy being slack today!
